What a week! Sister Streetman
and I have been talking this week about how the church is just so true. The more you learn, and study, and exercise
faith, and feel the spirit it just becomes more and more real that Christ's
church was lost, but has been restored to the earth by a man who was called to
be Prophet just as God has done time and time again. That's just the
simple truth.
We tracted a lot and
it was freezing cold but we found a few new investigators so it was good! We had been tracting all day with no luck and
we were walking through the parking lot of an apt complex when we came across
Sarah and she had two little girls with her and was trying to carry a suitcase
so we helped her out and it turns out that she is super interested in our message!
We are really excited to meet with her
again! God really does put people in our
path who are prepared!
Here is the most
depressing story ever. We were tracting
and a man answered the door and we told him we were missionaries and he said he
already believes in Jesus, and then he told us to go find a warm place because
it is so cold and we are crazy to be out in the cold. So I asked him if he knew any warm places we
could go and he said that he knew a warm place, and that warm place was his
house and it was so cozy and warm inside... and then he said we should leave
and find our own warm place. *shuts door.
We had 6 people
come to church. 3 of which were Baptist seminary students. 👊 Oh
and President and Sister James randomly showed up and he totally threw down at
the pulpit. Alex and Alexus came and
brought their 5 year old little sister, and Danita was there again. Danita is so awesome and she is totally loving
our church we just need to meet with her!! She definitely will be baptized though. I know it. We had a super awesome lesson with Alexus and
she said that she believes the Book of Mormon is true and she wants to be
baptized!! She just needs to ask her
mom, which she is scared about because her mom doesn't like our church. So definitely keep her and her mom in your
prayers!!
We also went caroling
outside of Walmart as a district and handed out cards. It was absolutely frigid, but we brought
some smiles to people's faces.
I'll talk to you soon!
LOVE YA'LL!
Sister Dearden
